Dr Guy Olorenshaw is a specialist refractive surgeon who has been performing refractive surgery in Melbourne since 1996 and LASIK since 1998.He provides his specialist services at Vision Eye Institute, St Kilda Road.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Melbourne in 1984, practising as a Medical Officer at Melbourne’s St. Vincent’s Hospital prior to commencing his specialist training in ophthalmology at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.
He has been in private practice in Melbourne since 1995 and held consultant positions at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital prior to joining the Vision Laser team in 1996. He has been practising exclusively in laser eyesight correction since that time.
Dr Olorenshaw regularly lectures to his peers on the international circuit. He is a member of FRACS, FRANZCO, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Australian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
He has a keen interest in rock climbing and Australian Rules Football and takes pride in his classic 1956 soft top Austin Healey.
