Dr Colin C. K. Chan specialises in refractive, cataract and corneal surgery. He is an expert in laser eye surgery and new treatments for keratoconus including corneal collagen cross linking with riboflavin, Intacs and Kerarings. He helped pioneer these new treatments with Dr. Boxer Wachler in the United States and has lectured widely on keratoconus. He also has a special interest in treatment of dry eyes.

Dr Higgins area of clinical expertise is general ophthalmology with a special interest in glaucoma and cataract surgery. Dr Higgins has been involved in the progressive advances with cataract surgery and was one of the early phacoemusification surgeons, having commenced phaco surgery in 1987 at Sydney Eye Hospital when only a handful in Australia were using this technique.

Dr Paul Hughes
Dr Hughes is an internationally trained microsurgeon who has specialised in cataract and refractive surgery for the past 20 years. He has successfully performed well over 10,000 Lasik procedures.
Dr Hughes love for refractive surgery began in the early 80's when he travelled overseas to learn the Russian technique of Radial Keratotomy (RK). However, with the development of the Excimer Laser, Dr Hughes had no doubt that this was the way of the future and his was one of the first clinics in Australia to begin performing the procedure.

Dr Mark B Jacobs
After qualifying as an ophthalmic surgeon at Sydney Eye Hospital in 1989, Dr Jacobs worked in London where he was a fellow at the Hospital for Sick Children and Moorfields Eye Hospital. At present he is a conjoint senior lecturer at the University of New South Wales and a staff specialist at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick and specialises in cataract surgery.

Dr Michael Lawless specialises in vision correction with laser and lens refractive surgery, cataract and corneal transplants. Dr Lawless graduated in Medicine from the University of Sydney in 1980. He trained in Sydney and then undertook a Corneal and External Diseases Fellowship with Professor Doug Coster in Adelaide, and a second Fellowship in Corneal and Refractive Surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York.

Dr Martin was head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead for 22 years and is currently a Visiting Medical Officer in Ophthalmology. He is also Visiting Medical Officer to the Sydney Eye, Sydney Children’s, and Mater Misericordiae Hospitals.

Dr David Ng is a specialist cataract surgeon. He is a general ophthalmologist with a special interest in diabetic eye disease and small incision cataract surgery.
Dr Ng studied medicine at Sydney University. He completed a Master of Public Health and gained a wide breadth of clinical expertise in neurosurgery and plastic surgery prior to commencing his ophthalmology training at the renowned Sydney Eye Hospital.

Dr Roberts is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Royal North Shore Hospital, where he heads the Glaucoma Unit and is the Director of Training. He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney, has published many scientific papers and an academic thesis, and reviews scientific articles for numerous international peer reviewed medical journals.

Dr Christopher Rogers is a corneal specialist. He has a special interest in laser refractive surgery and brought the first excimer laser used for refractive surgery into Australia in 1991.

Dr Gary Schiller specialises in the areas of cataract, glaucoma, diabetes, oculoplastics and medical retina.
Dr Schiller completed his Ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital before undertaking further subspecialty glaucoma studies in London. On returning to Australia in 1989 he completed a Fellowship in oculoplastics at Sydney Eye Hospital.
