Our services

As the base for some of the country’s most experienced and respected doctors, Vision Eye Institute is able to offer the services of (in alphabetical order) Dr Robert Bourke, Dr Darryl Gregor, Dr Peter Heiner, Dr Frank Howes and Dr Matthew Russell.

Our areas of specialisation include refractive and laser surgery in our laser clinic, as well as retinal and general ophthalmology. We also have a day surgery and are able to perform procedures such as cataract surgery on site.

Our location

Our enviable landmark building has stunning broadwater views, right next door to a Southport Shopping Centre. We are easily accessed by car or public transport. Free car parking with lift access is available under the building. 

As an ultra modern facility, we can offer patients the very latest technology available, whatever their requirements.

Your clinic experience

You can expect a typically friendly Gold Coast welcome when you arrive. As many patients tell us, all the staff seem to enjoy what they do and go out of their way to be helpful and knowledgeable. 

All doctors work with a consistent team, so everyone will be familiar with your specific requirements, which means you will be kept well-informed.

We’re a very busy, much in demand clinic, so there can be occasional delays, but every effort is to deal with patients as quickly as possible without compromising on care and attention.

To improve your experience further, we always try to perform all the tests you require during the one visit, so you don’t have to make additional visits at a later date.
