Our services

It’s not a coincidence that Vision Eye Institute, Chatswood, is known well beyond our shores – it is the ‘home’ of a number of world-renowned doctors, who are Australian pioneers of several highly significant advances. 

Our team are (in alphabetical order) Dr Colin Chan, Dr Simon Chen, Dr Jeff Friedrich, Dr Michael Lawless, Dr David Ng, Dr Tim Roberts, Dr Chris Rogers and Prof Gerard Sutton.

They include the first to perform laser vision correction in Australia; the first Australian surgeon to perform a corneal transplant using a femtosecond laser; the first surgeon in Australia to use an intercorneal ring segment for keratoconus and the first surgeon in the Southern Hemisphere to use the once-in-a-generation breakthrough–  laser technology – during cataract surgery.

As befits a world class facility, we can offer unmatched ophthalmic services. They include vision correction surgery (laser, refractive lens exchange and phakic intraocular lenses), retinal, general ophthalmic, cataract/IOL surgery, glaucoma, corneal and dry eye expertise.

Our location

We’re located in the fast growing business hub of Chatswood on Sydney’s north shore, and around 15 minutes from the city centre. Access is easy, either by bus, train or road, and there is public parking nearby.

Our ultra modern clinic occupies two levels, and is fully equipped with the latest technology available in the world. While large, we ensure that everyone receives personalised care.
