Today, Dr Reich mainly performs cataract surgery, laser eye surgery and other refractive procedures.
However,he has never lost sight of the fact that he is a general ophthalmologist by training, and will therefore welcome any patient into his clinic.
He sees people from children to adults with all sorts of conditions. This includes helping patients manage glaucoma with a routine range of eye care. He will, in fact, assist anyone who comes with a general eye health issue and, should it be necessary, will refer them onto one of is specialist colleagues.
Dr Reich’s philosophy is that other eye diseases should not be neglected when cataract surgery is necessary.
As an example, further consideration needs to be taken when planning cataract surgery on patient with keratoconus, or people who suffer from glaucoma.
He performs cataract surgery on patients who suffer from diabetic retinopathy, working closely with his Vision Eye Institute retinal colleagues, to ensure the best possible outcome.
There are also challenges when planning cataract surgery on people who have had previous laser vision correction.
