Intraocular lenses (IOLs)

The amazing advances in lenses are exciting for an ophthalmologist. Today, both monofocal and multifocal IOLs are available, which can provide a patient with vision at both far and reading distance. They can even accommodate astigmatism. Nowadays, IOLs are made of flexible materials, which allow the lens to be folded and inserted into the eye through the small incision.
